Dr. Kate McRow

Dr. Kate McRow (she/her) is a family physician with a GP Focused Practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She obtained a Bachelor of Science at McGill University before going on to get her PhD in Neuroscience at the Montreal Neurological Institute. With aspirations to become a clinical neurologist, she then attended Queen's University for Medical School. After about 3 minutes in medicine, she found her passion in Sexual and Reproductive Health. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at McMaster University, and then an extra year of clinical training at uOttawa in Women's Health.

Dr. McRow is a lecturer and clinical supervisor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Queen's University. She trains learners at all stages of their training. She has a practice in the community where she sees patients as a Reproductive and Sexual Health Consultant with a special focus on contraception and gender care. She dabbles in obstetrics as well! Her practice at the Ottawa Fertility Centre focuses on medical ovulation induction for people with PCOS, patients seeking donor sperm insemination and general fertility assessments. She also sees other patients for initial intake assessments.

Outside of work Dr. McRow enjoys spending time with her friends and family, cooking/baking, reading and rock climbing!
