Courtney Anderson, Nurse Practitioner

I am dedicated to creating a safe environment to ensure you feel comfortable and confident when accessing reproductive health care with the goal of building your family. I am also excited to make meaningful contributions to both the field of fertility and the profession of Nurse Practitioners as they continue to evolve. I look forward to meeting you!

Courtney Anderson was born and raised in Ottawa where she graduated with Honours in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program from the University of Ottawa collaborative with Algonquin College. She continued her training in the Operating Room Perioperative Nursing postgraduate certificate program at George Brown College in Toronto and started her nursing career as a Perioperative Registered Nurse at The Hospital for Sick Children.

Seeking adventure and further graduate education, Courtney’s passion for reproductive health led her to become a board-certified Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner following the completion of the Master of Science in Nursing program at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon her return, she successfully completed the Post-Master Nurse Practitioner Diploma program at the University of Toronto to gain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Ontario.

Her pride for the nursing profession stems from her identity as a nurse and the responsibility to provide the highest quality care to her patients. Courtney’s leadership roles include Professor of Nursing and volunteer mentor for Nurse Practitioner students as part of the Nurse Practitioners’ Association of Ontario Kintsugi Mentorship Program.

Courtney is a proud member of the Ottawa Fertility Centre. Her practice specializes in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), therapeutic donor insemination, and third-party reproduction. She enjoys collaborating with colleagues on quality improvement and program development to enhance the experience of both her patients and clinic family. She is also an enthusiastic member of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Outside of work, she can be found spending time with her family and friends, most notably her husband and rescue dog. Her interests include listening to live music, watching old Friends episodes, and relaxing on or near the water, with lots of sunscreen nearby!
